Brokerage is the only charge the stock broker actually keeps. Discount brokers typically charge ₹0 on delivery and a flat ₹20 (or 0.03%, whichever is lower) on intraday and F&O. It is the charge brokers compete on. Everything else is statutory and identical across brokers.
